As breakfast chef, you lead the breakfast kitchen of the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel. You make sure every guest starts the day with a memorable culinary experience.

You oversee breakfast preparation, the buffet presentation and the live cooking stations where dishes are prepared for guests. You lead your team to deliver high-quality dishes, efficient service and outstanding guest satisfaction, every single morning.

What will you do?

As Breakfast Chef, you are responsible for:

• Overseeing the daily breakfast service, with excellent quality, consistent preparation and polished presentation at the buffet and cooking stations.

• Delivering a flawless breakfast experience by keeping an eye on product freshness and availability and a high level of service throughout.

• Making sure the breakfast standard operating procedures are followed consistently, and spotting opportunities to improve quality and efficiency.

• Coordinating early-morning preparation, production planning and the flow of service, so everything runs smoothly and stays well organised.

• Leading the breakfast kitchen team, coaching and supporting your colleagues and creating a positive environment built on teamwork and continuous improvement.

• Keeping an eye on food costs, ordering, stock levels and food waste.

• Making sure the kitchen fully complies with HACCP guidelines, food safety legislation and company procedures, and keeping the workplace safe and organised.

• Working closely with the Food & Beverage and front office teams to respond to guest wishes and deliver an outstanding breakfast experience.

• Supporting the executive chef in developing menus, seasonal improvements and new breakfast concepts.

• Leading by example during service, bringing energy, clear communication and a perfectly organised kitchen every day.

Does this sound like you?

• You have experience running breakfast buffets, cooking stations and a busy morning service, keeping quality and presentation at a high level.

• You lead by example and motivate your team through clear communication, coaching and a hands-on approach on the floor.

• You have excellent knowledge of HACCP, food safety regulations and modern kitchen systems.

• You are highly organised and thrive in a dynamic early-morning environment where planning, preparation and attention to detail are key.

• You are passionate about delivering an outstanding guest experience and always looking for ways to improve quality and efficiency.

• You communicate fluently in English.

• You are legally allowed to work in the Netherlands.
